Car Description

While Crossover cars are fairly new into the car game, they have become a staple for families all over the world. In 2012, the Chevrolet Equinox sold 16.6% more than 2011, and they are expected to have the same jump in sales this year. Even though the Idea of a vehicle that is half car half SUV can be a little odd in the mind, this car does show good reasons why you would want to buy it.

Because the 2013 Equinox was built largely for families, lets talk about things that you should be interested in as parents, or as heads of a family. The Equinox has the wonderful space of a SUV, while having the fuel milage of a normal sized car. This is achieved by the way it was built. It was built with a SUV in mind on top, but the undercarriage is a completely different story. The underside of the Equinox was built like a car, making the fuel requirements considerably less due to the loss of weight.

Two main things that the Equinox is known for is its safety and its ability to entertain. We all know that children of all sizes can be a bit of a hassle sometimes on a long trip, but the infotainment system in the Equinox will take care of that problem with ease. What can be more important than the safety of our families? Well, Chevrolet took that into consideration when making the Equinox and decided that nothing is more important than safety and put in a plethora of safety features to make sure that your family stays safe.

2013 Equinox Infotainment System

When we say the words, “infotainment system,” quite a bit of confusion can pop into the mind. But to state it simply, an infotainment system is the part of your car that deals not only with the entertainment (Music, movies for the kids etc.), but also tells you about the car and how it is working. For example, the Equinox comes with a large touch screen in the front that give you the ability to listen to music, but will also show different things about the car, like if it is low on something or if it is not running correctly. The infotainment system also comes with personal 3.5 inch screens in the back for your backseat passengers.

2013 Equinox Safety

Because the Equinox is a family vehicle, Chevrolet has an abundance of safety features. It starts off with how the frame was built. the Equinox uses high strength steel in certain parts of the crossover where the shock can be absorbed and pushed to other parts of the car. The Equinox also has safety systems like forward collision alert and lane departure warning. If you do happen to get into an accident, the Equinox comes with a OnStar system that will automatically call an ambulance if necessary.

If you are looking for a car that does it all and can fit a whole family, The Equinox crossover is the car for you.
