Car Description

In the last 60 years, Corvette has had a performance line that has been hard to beat. But this years Corvette ZR1 is said to top anything that they have made. It will also be the end of the C6 line of Corvettes.

The ZR1 has been made for its performance both on and off the track. As we know with all performance cars, there are many things that we would look for before we would want to buy it. We would want to know general things about the car, such as its top speed, weight, torque and things of that nature. We would also want to know what would the probabilities of if we get in a crash, us walking away from it.

Performance of the ZR1

The performance of any vehicle can be labeled as one of the most important things, so lets take a look into what you could be buying. The engine of the ZR1 is one of the things that really drives the car. the LS9 small block engine has enough power to push the 3,300 pound car faster than a bigger engine could. The engine was made with a high weight to power ratio, making the smaller engine essential.

The engine is then backed by an impressive six speed manual transmission that gives you a great start off speed mixed with a high speed sixth gear. The ratio of the gears were created so, while slightly more separated, it would have the maximum amount of power with each new gear. This creates a powerful car that is hard to match by any standard car.

Safety of the ZR1

One of our main concerns when buying a new car is the safety of the car that we are looking to buy. The ZR1 uses many safety features that ensure that even while you are using it as a performance vehicle on the racetrack, you will have the security of a safe car. It uses features such as Active handling and OnStar roadside assistance.

The OnStar program helps to make sure that at any given time, if you get in an accident or need some sort of roadside assistance, you can call or press a button in your car to let them know what you need. If you get into an accident, your car will automatically signal OnStar and to have them call and even call an ambulance if needed. The Active handling is a feature that uses either the gas or the brakes to make sure your car stays stable, even at the 205 MPH that the ZR1 is designed to speed up to.

This hand made car is definitely one that you would not want to miss out on. If you are a car collector, this is a car that you would want to get your hands on, as it is the last in its line.
