Car Description

The 2013 Lexus IS F, while still considered a luxury sedan, has centered more on performance than anything else. Most of the IS F testing happened on true racetracks. This is truly a performance vehicle that you wouldn’t want to miss out on.

2013 IS F Performance

The IS F was built for performance using all of the newest technologies to make sure that it runs fast and will last a long time. The first big thing is the Duel Air Intake system. It uses the primary intake for both low and medium speeds, but as soon as the IS F starts to speed up, it opens the secondary intake to make sure that the engine has enough air to run smoothly.

The IS F has the first 8-speed transmission. Now this is no ordinary transmission either. You have the option to have a fully automatic or an automated manual transmission. While most cars that have the automated manual transmission are usually a little rougher while they are shifting, the IS F will hold your RPMs to 6,800 in each gear to make sure that you still have a smooth ride.

The IS F also gives you the option of changing your cars performance. It lets you choose between Normal, Sport, and Snow. The Sport mode will give you a slightly worse gas mileage, but your engine will give you a better pickup. Sport mode will also alter your steering assist to give you a better and tighter steering for the moments when you really need it. The IS F has the capability to run at over 170 MPH.

2013 IS F Comfort

While the IS F is more performance oriented than most of the Lexus sedans, it does still have the Lexus name and that mean that it still has the comfortable side of Lexus. The seats in the IS F are specially made to fit a person securely and comfortably. It also has a Smart Access keyless entry and a push button start.

You will also have a standard 14-speaker radio system that has iPod connectivity, Bluetooth streaming, and a XM Satellite Radio with a 90-day free subscription. You can also get a Intuitive Park Assist (IPA), a system that will use ultrasonic sensors to warn you of objects that are both in front and behind you to help you park. There is also the option of having a rear back up camera to help you make sure you don’t hit anything while backing up.

So is you want to have a car that will give you an awesome performance as well as comfort, getting the Lexus IS F should be a serious consideration for y
