Car Description

The 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser recently had its 60th birthday, and as we know with age comes beauty. The Land Cruiser used to be just a basic SUV, now it has been turned into a fine tune, 8 passenger, all terrain vehicle.

Capability and Ride

The way that the 2013 Land Cruiser was made is truly an engineering masterpiece. With the special body on frame style of SUV, it has an amazing ability to tow and to get itself out of tight spots.

One example of this is the three-stage crush structure. This makes it so that if you do get in an accident with the Land Cruiser, only a small part of the car will truly be damaged, leaving the other parts of the car in good condition. It also offers the double wishbone suspension system that allows a greater driving capability off road and a much smoother ride on.

There is also a new technology put into the new 2013 Land Cruiser. There is the Multi-Terrain system that has been added. The Multi Terrain system takes the ground that you are driving on into consideration. This means that you can choose how much your tires slip when starting and driving. This is useful if you are in heavy rock area and donít want your tires to slip much, as well as other terrains where it might come in handy.

It also comes with the new CRAWL technology. CRAWL is a special five-speed part of your car that helps you to crawl over the rocks. The purpose is when you are on a rough area where you need to modulate the gas and brakes; the CRAWL system does it for you. This helps you in areas where you real need to concentrate and donít want to have to be careful with the gas and brakes.

2013 Highlander Safety

With how many cars and bad drivers there are out there, safety is one of the most important things for a car. The Highlander has not been skimpy on safety features. It starts with just the normal little things like the type of plating that it uses. The Highlander has a high strength steel welded into the main pillars and the sheet metal of the car

The pillars of the Highlander have been especially designed so that if you do get hit from the side, the pillars will dissipate the majority of the shock into the frame of the car, instead of your passengers.

There is also newer technology that has been put into the Highlander. This technology is the Safety Connect security system. This system will automatically call to tell if you have gotten into and accident. It also has a GPS system to help you find your car if it has been stolen. It also has the SOS feature. The SOS feature is a part of the Safety Connect system that allows you to call for a wide variety of roadside assistance. If your car breaks down, you can use the SOS button to call someone that can fix your car.

The Highlander is a new car with quite a few features that you would not want to miss. If you are fond of having a good car that rides in style and is good for off-road, this is your car.
