Car Description

The Chery A1 is a 4 door, hatchback sedan built as Chery’s first “world Car”. The A1 is manufactured in accordance with international standards and has been developed to be sold in Europe, North America as well as China. The Chery was patterend after Italian automotive designs for a sporty fashionable look with rounded contours, tridimensional tail lamps and headlamps, and fender flares. The A1 is available in 6 colors Cuprite Red, Aegean Blue, Azure Blue, Dark Iron Grey, Indicolite Gold, and Jade Blue.

The Chery A1 was tested with a drive to the Mt. Everest base camp and excelled in the high altitude adverse road conditions found on the journey.

The 1.3 Manual Transmission powertrain (SQR473F) come in three trims Standard, Comfortable and Luxury while ht 1.3 Automatic transmission powertrain only comes in the standard trim.

Chery A1 Safety Features

Three side pillars are used to ensure passenger safety with side collisions. Both front and rear seat belts are of a three point design. All trims come with an Energy-absorbing steering column, 3 point seat belts with ELR in the front and the rear side, high mounted brake lamp and engine immobilizer. The 1.3 MT comfortable and Luxury trims as well as the 1.3 AMT come with ABS and EBD as well as common reverse radar. Both Driver and front passenger airbags are available with all trims and power trains.

The brake system uses disc brakes in front with drum brakes in the rear. The front suspension utilizes Macpherson strut with cylindrical coil spring, dual-acting tube damper and stabilizer bar and the rear suspension uses Semi-independent trailing arm type with track bar, cylindrical coil spring and dual-tube damper.

Exterior Features

The base model has manual outside mirrors, steel wheels and does not include the color keyed spoiler, all other trims are available with the spoiler, aluminum wheels and electric outside mirrors. All trims also includes a rear windshield wiper and roof rack.

Interior Features

The interior has a sporty look with bi-colored, ergonomic seats, slab design hand brake, unconventional barrel-shaped dash board and instrument panel. The Standard trim with the manual transmission has plastic door trims while all other trims come with a cloth door trim. The base model vehicle has manual windows while all other models have power windows on all 4 doors.

All trims have fabric trimmed seats and a 4 way adjustable driver’s seat. The Upgraded trims have power windows, central locking remote keyless entry systems with automatic window closing systems and air conditioning. The sound system is a Am/FM/CD player with a MP3/USB jack, the standard trim with a manual transmission comes with 2 speakers while all other trims come with 4 speakers.
