Fords new Transit BEV won the 2010 North American Truck of the Year award providing a good start for this utility minded vehicle.

The 2012 Ford Transit is a work commercial vehicle that comes in two configurations a van that seats 2 and a wagon that seats 5.

Ford expects the vehicle life to be 10 years of 120,000 miles and provides this warranty "Base Transit Connect warranty period/mileage for Ford non-powertrain (nonmodified), five years/60,000 miles warranty time period for Azure powertrain and modified components"

The maximum payload of the van is 1,045lbs while the wagon can hold 850lbs. The cargo volume is 1229.6 cu. ft.
