The Toyota Prius plugin hybrid is a mid sized hatchback The 2012 Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid will allow true EV operation and performance for up to 15 miles at speeds up to 62 mph, along with quick home charging using a standard AC outlet and 15-amp dedicated circuit.

A full charge using an external AC outlet takes approximately 2.5 to 3.0 hours using a 120v household outlet or 1.5 hours using a 240v outlet.

Prius Plug-in will be offered in two trim levels, standard and Advanced.

The Standard has the features of the Prius 2 lift back plus a few of the features of the Prius 3 and 4.

The advanced trim incorporates a high end sound system, led daytime running lights, heated front seats, and a pre-collision system and Dynamic Radar Cruise Control with a safety connect system.
